How to Make FiveM Props Without Blender

You can create FiveM props without Blender using EasyFiveM, a web-based FiveM prop maker. EasyFiveM helps creators upload models or photos, edit in the browser, and export ready-to-use YDR, YTYP and FiveM resource ZIP files — no Blender, Sollumz, OpenIV or CodeWalker required for standard props.

Why most tutorials still mention Blender

The traditional FiveM mapping pipeline was built around Blender + Sollumz because YDR is a proprietary GTA V format. For years, that was the only reliable path. Today, cloud converters like EasyFiveM automate the same conversion steps server-side so you only interact with a browser UI.

What you need instead of Blender

• A modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
• A Discord account (for login and export)
• A 3D model (GLB/OBJ/FBX) or a photo for AI generation
• Credits for export (Prop Maker editing is free)

You do not need to install Python, Blender plugins, or GTA V modding tools on your PC.

Workflow without Blender

Option A — start from a 3D model

1. Open Prop Maker.
2. Upload GLB, OBJ or FBX.
3. Edit textures, collision mesh and scale in the 3D editor.
4. Export ZIP → add to your FiveM server.

Option B — start from a photo (AI)

1. Open Image to Prop.
2. Upload a clear photo of your object.
3. Let AI generate the mesh and textures.
4. Refine in Prop Maker, then export YDR + YTYP.

Browse the community gallery, preview props in 3D for free, import into Prop Maker at no cost, and export when ready.

Can you make FiveM props without Sollumz too?

Yes. Sollumz is a Blender addon that converts meshes to YDR. EasyFiveM performs an equivalent conversion in the cloud. You lose some advanced control (custom LOD chains, complex rigging) but gain speed for typical server props: chairs, tables, signs, decorations and custom map objects.

When you might still want Blender

Be honest about limitations. You may still want Blender + Sollumz for:

• Highly detailed MLO interiors
• Custom vehicles (YFT) with complex rigging
• Props requiring advanced LOD optimization
• Assets that need precise manual vertex editing

For everything else, a browser-based FiveM prop converter is often faster.

Export checklist

After exporting from EasyFiveM, your ZIP should contain:

• fxmanifest.lua
• stream/*.ydr — drawable model
• stream/*.ytd — textures (if applicable)
• *.ytyp — archetype definition

Extract to resources/my-prop/, add ensure my-prop to server.cfg, restart.
